Simple Screen Capture Tools for Feedback
The Windows screen capture tool can be run as a standalone application that is running in the tray bar and can be triggered by a double click on the icon or pressing the PrintScreen key.
Internet Explorer
The Windows screen capture tool can be used as an extension to Internet Explorer (6, 7 & 8) and is automatically added as an icon on the toolbar. Clicking the icon will capture the Internet Explorer window ready to be annotated and sent to your bug tracking system.
Firefox
The Firefox screen capture extension is compatible across all platforms (i.e. Windows, MacOS and Linux). It captures the entire Firefox canvas, it can then be annotated and then sent to your system.
Tools
Pencil – coloured pencils to draw on the screenshot
Marker – coloured highlighters to easily mark up the screenshot
Box – different coloured boxes to emphasize something on the screenshot
Note – add 'post it' style notes to your screenshot
Stamp – place an 'Accepted', 'Rejected' or 'Tested' rubber stamp on the screenshot
Crop – select the exact area that you want to capture on your screenshot
Undo – undoes the previous stepsOther options
A list of projects will be shown when a user is a member of more than one project. With project selections remembered between each screen capture.
Multiple screen captures and a further attachment is available in Windows tool if set in the project options.
